WOMAN INCONTINENCE

The pelvic floor muscles help to keep the bladder sphincter closed, especially in situations where abdominal pressure increases (e.g. coughing, laughing or physical exercise). When these muscles weaken and atrophy, any increase in intra-abdominal pressure leads to urinary leakage.
The main cause of incontinence in post-menopausal women is due to weakness and atrophy of the pelvic floor tissues. When these muscles weaken and atrophy, any increase in intra-abdominal pressure leads to urinary leakage.
Atrophy and weakness of the pelvic floor muscles can be reversed with a combination of cellular therapy and exercise training.

COMMON SYMPTOMS

Stress Incontinence: Leakage of urine during activities that increase abdominal pressure, such as: Coughing, sneezing, or laughing. Physical exercise or lifting heavy objects.
Urge Incontinence: A sudden and intense need to urinate that is difficult to control.
Urine leakage before reaching the bathroom.
Frequent urination, including waking up several times at night (nocturia).

OUR METHOD

THE TREATMENT

Moviglia Method therapy is a simple and effective procedure completed in a single outpatient visit. Here's a step-by-step guide to what patients can expect:

EVALUATION PRE-TREATMENT

The areas where the cells will be applied are determined by the patient's wishes and a specialist's opinion. Depending on the patient's age, skin type and medical history, the application sites may vary.

HARVESTING

Two types of cells are needed for the treatment: stem cells and tissue-specific effector lymphocytes. The stem cells are extracted from subcutaneous fat, which is done by performing a micro liposuction procedure that only needs local anesthesia. Immune cells are obtained from the patient's peripheral blood.

CELL PROCESSING

The collected fat is then processed to isolate regenerative cells and other bioactive components. Before administration, they are pre-differentiated into muscle cells.

PRECISE CELL INJECTION

Stem cells pre-differentiated into muscle cells and effector lymphocytes are injected into the affected muscles. The injection is performed under ultrasound guidance using local anesthesia.
The application of cells is complemented with muscle-strengthening exercises.
Most patients can quickly return to their usual routines with minimal interruption. A slight swelling or mild discomfort at the injection site may occur but typically resolves within a few days, allowing for a smooth recovery.

Results

RESULTS

Volume and muscle strength are recovered after the cell applications, which allows the recovery of urinary continence even in situations where intra-abdominal pressure increases. These results are permanent in the long term.

If the cell therapy is complemented by training and strengthening exercises, faster and better results may be achieved.

Usually, 1 to 3 applications are necessary within 6 months.

OUR METHOD

MOVIGLIA METHOD THERAPY

Our Therapy offers a range of benefits, including its minimally invasive nature, rapid recovery time, and potential to support the body’s natural healing processes. By utilizing the patient’s own regenerative cells, this treatment promotes tissue repair and may help reduce pain and inflammation in the affected joint.
